Ricardo Amaro

Ricardo is a DevOps/SRE Engineering Manager currently living in Lisbon, Portugal and working for Acquia since 2011.
He is a member of the Drupal Association and president of ADP (Portuguese Drupal Association) where he supports the Drupal community, organizing Camps, Meetups and also DrupalDevDays 2018 in Lisbon.
Ricardo is passionate about DevOps automation, Drupal, OpenSource and contributing back.
He is inspired by these communities and their power to change the world.

Before Acquia he worked both in the public sector and in the private sector, applying Agile methodologies and encouraging the DevOps culture.
He had his first contact with open technologies with GNU/Linux back in the 90’s.
He is passionate about Software Freedom Rights and is finishing a PhD in Information Science and Technology with work published in IEEE.
